CH. Brillwood Dress Blues, aka Mickey, is our wonderful new homebred champion.  Mickey began his career at the prestigious Louisville, KY, cluster.  His first trip into the ring, he won BOW from the BBE class (a major) at just 7 months of age, under terrier specialist, Michael Dougherty.  His next cluster was in April, in Terre Haute, IN, where he took his second major.  In all, Mickey showed 7 times in 5 weekends to finish with 5 majors and 2 RWD, all from the BBE class.

In January of 2009, Mickey left Ohio to join Kevin and Diane Chestnut in Moses Lake, WA.  In less than three months, Mickey has reached the #2 standing in Parson Russells (breed points).  He made his TV debut on Animal Planet, appearing as the BOB winner at the Rose City Classic in Portland, OR.  Mickey is now co-owned by breeder Mary Strom-Bernard of Snow Winds Farm in Carlton, OR.  Kevin and Mary have done a great job with Mickey!  Thank you to the Chestnut family and to Tim and Mary.

NEWS!!!  Mickey wins the 2009 PRTAA National Specialty under world renowned Parson Russell judge, Mrs. Sheila Atter.  Thank you to Mrs. Atter and co-owner Mary Strom-Bernard for this very important win!

After Nationals...Mickey returns to Oregon with Mary and picks right up where he left off, taking BOB both days entered in Idaho with Mary one day and Kevin the other day.  Off then to Vancouver where Mickey went BOB both days with Kevin and got Group 3 on Saturday and Sunday!  Mickey's young daughter, Snow Winds Fashion Forward (Prada), picked up another win (a major!).  Father and daughter share the same lovely type and wonderful movement.  In December, Mickey takes an Award of Excellence at the Eukanuba Championship show in Long Beach, CA.  Daughter Snow Winds Forward Fashion (Prada) is awarded Best Of Winners at Eukanuba to complete her AKC championship at the tender age of 8 months.  The success of a sire can only be measured in the achievements of the progeny.

Mickey on the move.

A Parson Russell Terrier should be able to move freely on a loose lead.  Note the lovely stride, excellent shoulder, and good reach and drive.  A good Parson should look good MOVING, not just standing still!

Mickey is a taller dog, 14 1/2", but easily spanned.   He has a wonderful flat coat, super conformation, and a ground covering gait.  His temperament is fantastic, making him such an easy terrier to live with.  BAER normal, CERF clear 12/2008, and patellas normal.  He will be submitted to CHIC in 2009.
