About us -- Thoroughbred Horses
Brillwood Farm was established in 1977 in Warren County, Ohio, as a Thoroughbred breeding and boarding operation. Over the years, we have bred and raised some outstanding individuals, including U S S Tinosa, a graded stakes runner who competed in the Preakness, his younger brother, Hackendiffy, Ohio champion 2 year old colt, and numerous other stakes winners.
One of the services we provide is sales prep for all the Kentucky and Ohio sales. We have superbly built 55' diameter round pen that enables us get our yearlings fit without risk of injury. Sales horses are also hand walked and handled to ensure they behave in a professional manner at the sales.
Brillwood Farm has been foaling mares for 25 years. We use a Foalert system and an intercom to monitor all the mares.
We also provide services for barren mares and have had high rates of success achieving pregnancy. Barren and maiden mares are put under lights and teased daily to get them ready to breed early in the season. We will book and ship your mares for you and notify you when the breeding has taken place.
