Mickey began his show career in March of 2008, at the prestigious Louisville cluster.
His first trip in the ring, he was named WD/BOW for a 3 point major. As a class
dog, he showed a total of 7 times, winning 5 majors, all from the Bred By Exhibitor
class, including Winners Dog at Hatboro. Shortly thereafter, he was sent out to
handler Kevin Chestnut of Moses Lake, WA, for a career as a special. In 2009, his
first year as a special, Mickey won nearly 50 BOBs, including the 2009 PRTAA National Specialty at Montgomery County Kennel Club in Blue Bell, PA, under internationally acclaimed breeder judge Mrs. Sheila Atter. Mickey finished the year
as #2 in Breed Points, and #3 in All Breed Points, including 9 Group Placements. Mickey received his AKC Grand Championship in 3 weekends time.
